ᴅᴇꜱᴇʀᴛ ʜɪɢʜᴡᴀʏ ᴡᴀꜱ ᴄᴏᴍᴘʟᴇᴛᴇʟʏ ɪɴꜱᴘɪʀᴇᴅ ʙʏ ᴍʏ ꜱᴜᴍᴍᴇʀ 2020.....

It all started during “lockdown” where I had no choice but to find myself. I finally had the one thing I had wished for EVERY SINGLE DAY since 2007...... To not have to go to a corporate 9-5 job!! There, no matter where I worked I ALWAYS felt inferior, never good enough! Managers were always trying to change me, to burn out my light and my confidence. I hated being imprisoned for 8 plus hours. To be told what and when to do things for a company who couldn’t care less about me. To be told when I could eat, drink water or use the bathroom. What I could or couldn't wear and never getting paid what I felt I was worth. My self esteem was alway low, I'd gain weight, indulge in too much alcohol and always have the "Sunday Scaries." It was a vicious cycle of what I felt was a wasted life. So when I was forced to stay home, I honestly had the BEST TIME OF MY LIFE!!!!!!! I was finally able to lose that pesky 25lbs. I went camping, swimming, canoeing, hiking and did so much yard work. I jammed out to Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac and Noah Cyrus. I was living in the sun and finally felt confident in my own skin. Then when I thought things couldn't get any better, I planned my backyard wedding and walked down the aisle on 10/10/20! So with all my accomplishments I found the courage to start my dream business which leads us to where we are now! DESERT HIGHWAY BOUTIQUE is alive and I couldn't be happier to share her with you. To spread my light and happiness to anyone and everyone who needs it!
